Refuse Division

The operations of this division are supervised by the Street and Refuse Superintendent with three (3) full-time employees.

The refuse collection function includes weekly curbside pickup of residential trash; quarterly large trash pickup; collection of grass, lawn debris, and brush; and the special pickup of bulk trash items on a “paid-scheduled” basis. Recyclables are picked up by a contract hauler in conjunction with your normal trash pickup.

New hours starting May 15th trash will be picked up from 6am-2pm ending September 4th (Labor Day) and returning to normal operating hours 7am-3pm.

Rumpke Recycling will be delayed on the same dates as the City’s Special Holiday Trash Collection Schedule.

2023 Large Item/Bulk Pickup Dates (on residents’ regularly scheduled collection day):
Week of January 9-13
Week of May 8-12
Week of July 10-14
Week of October 9-13

During large item/bulk trash collection, the service department will collect: brush & carpet ( bundled), old appliances, paint and other bulk trash items. Note: The City does NOT pickup concrete, rock, dirt, loose brush, firewood, tree stumps, root balls or contractor-generated building materials.
