If the bulk trash item weighs more than 50 pounds, you must wait for a free quarterly large trash pickup or schedule a $21 paid bulk pick up by calling the Utility Clerk at (937) 859-8280. Scheduled pickups must be paid by 4:30 p.m. on the Friday before pickup on the following Monday.

The city WILL pick up household items such as appliances, carpet, brush, metal, lumber, etc. Carpet & brush need to be cut in 3-4 ft. lengths, not more than 18-inches in diameter & bundled. How do I dispose of paints and chemicals?
Paints can be disposed of during the quarterly large trash pickup offered by the service department. The bulk trash collections are free for residents. In 2019, the collections will occur on regularly scheduled trash days during the week of January 7-11, May 6-10, July 8-12 and October 7-11. Some chemicals can also be disposed of on large trash pickup day. However, you must call (937) 859-8280 to verify.
Can I put cut grass clippings in the garbage toter?
No, grass clippings must be placed in City of West Carrollton lawn and leaf bags. To purchase the brown grass collection bags at $1.35 each, visit the Utility Clerk at the Civic Center, 300 E. Central Ave. West Carrollton, OH 45449. The Civic Center is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The bags are also available after regular business hours at Holly’s Home Cooking, 489 E. Dixie Dr. West Carrollton, OH 45449.
