The West Carrollton Police Department recognized Eion Hogston with a promotion to Sergeant, officially sworn in on January 13, 2026.
Sergeant Hogston joined the department in May 2019 and has consistently demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and a strong commitment to public service. In 2021, he was named Police Department Employee of the Year, an honor reflecting his dedication to the department and the community it serves.
His service record includes Perfect Attendance awards in 2020 and 2021, a Department Commendation in 2019, and his appointment as Officer in Charge (OIC) in 2021, where he took on added supervisory responsibilities.
A native of Piqua, Ohio, Sergeant Hogston holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. His promotion reflects both his experience and the confidence placed in him to support the department’s mission of public safety and community trust.
