West Carrollton City Council Vacancy
The West Carrollton City Council is accepting resumes to fill a vacancy following the resignation of Councilmember Michael Boyle. Residents interested in serving the community and shaping the future of West Carrollton are encouraged to apply by submitting a letter of interest and a resume.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
-Be a qualified elector.
-Be a resident of the City for at least one (1) year.

Applications may be submitted by email or in person at the West Carrollton Civic Center. The application deadline is 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
Appointment Process
Mayor Barnhart and City Council will conduct interviews to make the initial appointment. The appointee shall serve until the next regular Municipal election on Tuesday, November 2, 2027, at which time voters will elect a successor to complete the remainder of the unexpired term. The full-term end date is December 31, 2029.
The City of West Carrollton operates under a charter form of government. Residents are encouraged to review the City’s Charter for additional information regarding the responsibilities and governance of City Council.
