West Carrollton City Council recognized the academic achievements of the West Carrollton High School Class of 2026 Valedictorian and Salutatorian during its June 9th meeting. Mayor Rick Barnhart and members of City Council presented a resolution honoring Koen Hicswa, Class of 2026 Valedictorian, and Makenna McCune, Class of 2026 Salutatorian. Hicswa will graduate with a 4.948 GPA and plans to attend the University of Cincinnati to study electrical engineering. During high school, he participated in robotics and competed in BPA programming competitions at the regional, state, and national levels. McCune will graduate with a 4.8 GPA and plans to attend the University of Kentucky to study psychology on a pre-med track. She participated in varsity girls’ soccer, choir, musicals, student council, and community service activities throughout her high school career.
The City congratulates Koen and Makenna on their achievement and wishes them success in their future academic and professional endeavors.
