West Carrollton Celebrates Opening of New Middle/High School

West Carrollton Celebrates Opening of New Middle/High School

West Carrollton Schools celebrated the opening of the new West Carrollton Middle/High School with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, August 10th.

Mayor Rick Barnhart, members of the City Council, City Manager Amber Holloway, and City staff joined West Carrollton School Board members, school staff, and members of the community for the celebration. Following the ceremony, attendees were invited to tour the new building ahead of the start of the 2026–2027 school year.

The new Middle/High School brings students in grades 7–12 together under one roof while maintaining separate spaces for the two schools. Middle School students in grades 7 and 8 are located at 5829 Student Street, while High School students in grades 9 through 12 are located at 5833 Student Street.

The opening marks the completion of West Carrollton Schools’ multi-year new school construction project. The project began following the passage of the November 2019 Building Bond Issue and was completed in two phases. The Early Childhood Center and Intermediate School opened for the 2022–2023 school year, followed by the Elementary School in 2025. The Middle/High School is the final building to open as part of the project.

The City of West Carrollton congratulates West Carrollton Schools, its students and staff, and the community on this milestone. We wish students, teachers, and staff a successful start to the 2026–2027 school year.
