WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio – The West Carrollton Education Foundation (WCEF) recently announced a total of $7,183.80 in educational grants for the 2023-2024 school year.
Five different projects will receive funds, including:
- VEX Robotics Team Expansion, $1,483.80 to teachers Amanda Rozelle and Hyancith Schumaker for expanding the robotics extracurricular program at the West Carrollton Middle School;
- Coping Day, $2,000 to Megan Wertalik at the West Carrollton Middle School;
- Restorative Art Discipline, $1,200 to John Grosvenor and Marysa Marderosian at the West Carrollton High School;
- Into the Future with STEM, $2,000 to Dawn Kincer at the West Carrollton Intermediate School;
- English as a Second Language Family Community Nights, $500 to Amanda Darrah, Sam Lohn and Maria Cockroft at the West Carrollton High School.
The West Carrollton Education Foundation and its funds are components of The Dayton Foundation. Founded in 1989, the WCEF is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization. It is administered by a nine-member Board of Trustees who represent various groups within the school community. The mission of the West Carrollton Education Foundation is to raise private funds from community individuals, businesses, and organizations and to distribute these funds as classroom grants for student enrichment.
