Parks and Recreation Director Christian Mattingly announced at the March 12th council meeting plans to construct a new dog park for our furry residents. Hintermeister Park was chosen as the location for this project. Many factors are attributed to the reasoning behind this decision, such as; open space, parking availability, shade, restrooms, and water system. The project will cost around $48,000, covering fencing, a drinking fountain, a cement pad, benches, plantings, signs, gravel, and other expenses. Fencing is projected to be completed by mid-spring (weather permitting), and the park should be open in late June.
