The City of West Carrollton is pleased to announce Nate Mundy’s appointment as the newest member of City Council.
Mundy, a West Carrollton resident, has been actively involved in civic and community organizations, including the West Carrollton Lions Club, Pirate Packs, Hope for West Carrollton, the West Carrollton Education Foundation, and the West Carrollton Board of Education. His passion for making a positive impact and his dedication to the well-being of the city make him an ideal addition to the City Council.
Mundy was one of 7 applicants to fill the council position vacated by Michael Boyle, who resigned in July. Mr. Mundy, appointed mid-term, will need to run in the November 2027 election to serve the remainder of the term on City Council.
“I am honored to serve the residents of West Carrollton as a member of the City Council,” said Mundy. “I am excited to work with my fellow council members and city officials to address the needs of our community and to ensure that West Carrollton continues to grow and thrive.”
In his new position, Mundy will play a vital role in shaping policies, making decisions, and representing the interests of West Carrollton residents. His diverse background and fresh perspectives will contribute to the city’s continued growth and prosperity.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nate Mundy to the City Council,” said Mayor Rick Barnhart. “His passion for our city and our schools will make him a valuable asset to our council. Mr. Mundy has attended City Council meetings for years, and I am confident he will hit the ground running in this new role.”
Mundy’s appointment to City Council comes at an exciting time for West Carrollton, with several significant projects and initiatives underway to enhance the city’s infrastructure, economic development, and quality of life, including the River District and the Whitewater Park.
