April 15 – Civic Center Offices Closed but, Tax Department Open with Extended Hours

The city of West Carrollton’s Civic Center offices will be closed Friday, April 15, with the exception of the city’s Tax Division.

The deadline for filing city income tax is Monday, April 18, which coincides with the federal and state filing deadlines. The Finance Department will offer extended hours and be open Friday, April 15, and Monday, April 18, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

“While the deadline is April 18, we strongly encourage individuals to file their returns as soon as they have their tax information ready. We’re here to help, whether that’s checking over your return or preparing it for you. There’s no charge for the service and no appointment is needed,” said Finance Director Tom Reilly.

All residents, age 18 and older, are required to file a city income tax return, whether or not tax is owedThe city’s Tax Department can prepare and file your city return for free. This only applies to City of West Carrollton taxes, not federal or state. All returns must be postmarked by April 18, 2022, to be considered filed on time. Three options are available to citizens needing assistance filing their 2021 City of West Carrollton Income taxes.

  • In-person at the Civic Center, 300 E. Central Ave., Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
  • Submit via email to [email protected]. Please remember to omit the social security number prior to emailing.
  • Use the secure drop box at the Civic Center.
