Purpose: To recommend to City Council a comprehensive general plan for the physical development of the city, to prepare the Zoning Code and Zoning Map, to continuously review and make recommendations to City Council concerning amendments to the Zoning Code and Zoning Map considered necessary and appropriate, to review and approve subdivisions of land (plats) and site plans, to provide zoning classification recommendations to City Council on newly annexed property, to recommend to City Council vacation of streets, alleys and public easements, to hear and decide on applications for a Conditional Use Permit, and to determine if uses not specifically mentioned in the Zoning Code are similar to uses permitted within a District.
