AT&T Fiber Installation Underway in West Carrollton

AT&T has begun installing its fiber-optic network in neighborhoods throughout West Carrollton. The project will be completed in sections, with construction crews moving through different areas of the city as work progresses. Residents should watch for AT&T door hangers, which are typically distributed approximately 72 hours before construction begins in an area. Yard signs may also be placed nearby to identify active work locations. Construction crews are installing underground fiber-optic cable within utility easements. City Council Recognizes West Carrollton High School Class of 2026 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

West Carrollton City Council recognized the academic achievements of the West Carrollton High School Class of 2026 Valedictorian and Salutatorian during its June 9th meeting. Mayor Rick Barnhart and members of City Council presented a resolution honoring Koen Hicswa, Class of 2026 Valedictorian, and Makenna McCune, Class of 2026 Salutatorian. The City of West Carrollton Fire Department has promoted Jonah Nassmacher to Fire Captain, recognizing more than a decade of service, training, and leadership within the department. River District Update: Phase 2A

Progress continues in the River District as Phase 2A of the redevelopment project is now underway. Contractor crews are currently on-site installing new traffic signal infrastructure and relocating overhead electrical lines underground as part of ongoing utility and roadway improvements within the district. These upgrades are an important step in preparing the area for future development while also improving reliability, safety, and the overall appearance of the corridor. Dayton Development Coalition Community Leader Fly-In

Our team had a great visit to Washington, D.C., last week during the Dayton Development Coalition Community Leader Fly-In. It was an honor to represent West Carrollton in our nation’s capital. While in town, we met with Senators Jon Husted and Bernie Moreno, and Congressman Mike Turner, to highlight the exciting projects we are working on in West Carrollton, including the transformational redevelopment of the City’s River District. City representatives included Councilmember Keith Tilton, City Manager Amber Holloway, and Assistant City Manager Dan Wendt.
