Coffee & Conversation

Join us for a casual morning chat with Mayor Rick Barnhart and City Manager Amber Holloway. Grab a seat and enjoy a laid-back discussion while sipping a warm cup of coffee. This is an opportunity to engage directly with two of your local community leaders, receive updates, and express what matters most to you. Complimentary coffee will be provided for those who join in the conversation.

Dear Santa

From December 1–15, children are invited to drop their letters to Santa in his special mailbox located in the Civic Center lobby. To receive a reply from Santa, please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your letter. This helps Santa send a message back straight from the North Pole! Don’t miss this magical opportunity to share your Christmas wishes. Santa can’t wait to hear from you!

Gingerbread House Decorating Contest

Join Us for a Gingerbread House Decorating Party! We’ll provide the gingerbread house; you bring the icing, decorations, and plenty of creativity. Enjoy a fun and festive evening as you design your holiday masterpiece. Judging will take place during the annual Holiday Festival, and the winner will be announced later on social media.

Holiday Festival

Enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides, WCHS choir and orchestra performances, letters to Santa, and a magical tree-lighting ceremony. Santa will be available for free photos (bring your camera!), plus complimentary hot cocoa to keep you warm. The library will also join in the fun with a festive story stroll, Christmas ornament-making, and more activities for the whole family. Don’t forget to cast your vote for your favorite gingerbread house during the festival!

CodeRED Cybersecurity Concerns

West Carrollton and thousands of other local government and public safety agencies across the country use an external communication platform called OnSolve CodeRED to send emergency alerts. That platform was taken offline in mid-November while the company investigated a security breach. After recently receiving additional information, we want to share what we know with our residents. What happened? OnSolve CodeRED, which the City uses for emergency alerts, was the victim of a targeted cyber-attack by an organized cybercriminal group. Whose information is in CodeRED’s database? Residential landline telephones automatically receive CodeRED messages. Businesses or individuals who want to receive emergency...
