Property Maintenance

Property Maintenance

The Property Maintenance Division’s responsibility is to insure the health, safety, and welfare of the public through the enforcement of property maintenance code regulations and zoning ordinances. The property maintenance regulations for the City of West Carrollton are contained in the City’s Property Maintenance Code – which governs the maintenance of existing residential and nonresidential buildings and all property. The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the code.

West Carrollton is now at such an age that maintaining property has become imperative.  Maintaining and enhancing property values and the pride we have in our community is at the heart of our property maintenance efforts.  The city hopes that all residents and business owners will take responsibility for properly maintaining their property and doing their part to preserve the pride we all have for West Carrollton.

It is to our community’s benefit to keep all properties properly maintained and to encourage and assist our neighbors who may be struggling to do the same. A property that is not well-maintained impacts property values and has a negative effect on quality of life for neighbors.

Why do we need Code Enforcement in the city?
