The City of West Carrollton is accepting applications for the position of Grounds Maintenance Specialist. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining the appearance and functionality of City buildings, parks, right-of-ways, and recreation facilities. The Grounds Maintenance Specialist performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks, including landscaping, general maintenance, equipment upkeep, and seasonal operations such as mowing, snow removal, and field preparation. Salary and Benefits
Pay range is $23.66 – $33.29 per hour DOQ. Excellent benefits.
Required Qualifications at Time of Application:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Possession of a Commercial Pesticide Applicator’s License.
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours and to work various shifts as necessary.
Desired Training and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by experience in grounds maintenance and landscaping.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques and grounds maintenance practices.
- Skilled in the operation and maintenance of outdoor tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, city officials, and the general public.
The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
