During large item/bulk trash collection, the service department will collect: brush & carpet (bundled), glass items (NEED to be wrapped/bundled for SAFETY reasons), old appliances, paint and other bulk trash items. Note: The City does NOT pickup concrete, rock, dirt, loose brush, firewood, tree stumps, root balls or contractor-generated building materials. The annual curbside fall leaf collection program begins Monday Oct. 16 and continues through Dec. 8th. No need to call the city if you didn’t get your leaves out in time, or a vehicle was in the way, because crews make continuous loops throughout the city each week. As a reminder, leaf piles should be free of large sticks and debris to prevent damage to the leaf vacuum truck.
The Great Paint Escape - October A quarterly series for adults 18 and over. Guided painting by professional artist Dina Cain, who has over 30 years’ experience as an artist. Each session we’ll be creating on a different medium with a different theme. Your fee includes: all materials for painting including the medium water, appetizers and sweet treats. Trick or Treat will be held on October 31, 6-8 p.m. Each year in West Carrollton. The date is set by the Dayton Area Mayors and Managers Association. Please dress your children accordingly as this event will not be cancelled or date changed due to the weather. Residents who choose to participate should leave front porch lights on.
