Community Pride Day

This is a day to celebrate our community! Volunteers, city staff, and members of the City Beautiful Commission will join together to clean up different areas around our city. We will also help residents who require assistance with weeding and cleaning up debris in their yards. We will meet at the Civic Center on the day of the event at 9 a.m. to hand out assignments. Alex Road Traffic Study The City of West Carrollton engaged engineering firm Strand & Associates in 2022 to evaluate the condition and potential improvements for S. Alex Road, last resurfaced between 1994 and 1996. The pavement has exceeded its useful life, and the current lane widths do not meet regulatory standards (9.5 feet in width, where 11 feet is required), complicating efforts to secure traditional resurfacing grants. Additionally, this stretch of roadway saw 289 crashes between 2017 and 2021, 29% of which were injury crashes.
