As the city has suspended in person, face-to-face interaction for all city office functions including the Planning Department, which includes permitting and code enforcement, there are other options to continue applying and paying for permits.
The Planning Department currently asks that permits be submitted via email.

The Planning and Community Development Department seeks to improve quality of life and economic vitality in the City of West Carrollton by assisting elected and appointed officials in creating and pursuing a shared vision for future growth and in establishing and maintaining community standards for the built environment.
The department manages long-range planning activities such as the West Carrollton Sustainable Comprehensive Plan, and community development projects aimed at enhancing neighborhood property values. The department also processes new development applications, reviews permits, and enforces property maintenance codes.
Staff aims to ensure that development proposals adhere to City regulations and meet life safety standards, and that property is maintained according to community expectations, through the enforcement of the City’s Zoning Code, Building Code, Sign Code, Property Maintenance Code, and Flood Damage Prevention Code.
