Let’s get creative. The City of West Carrollton is holding a Chalk Art Contest for children and adults. The City would like to see kids and adults alike show off their art skills by creating chalk art on their own driveways, sidewalks or patios.
The City is asking for residents to submit a photo of their masterpiece between July 13 and July 31. All artwork should be “signed” by the artist(s) before a photo is taken to ensure it is an original drawing.
Prizes will be awarded in each age group: grades K-5, 6-12, and Adult (18 years old and over.) All appropriate, submitted artwork will be featured online during the next month.
Submissions may made online at here or by emailing the photo with name, age, and phone number to recprogram@westcarrollton.org.
The Family Campout is scheduled for July 25-26 at Hintermeister Park. Games, a campfire, night hike and s’mores will be included. Pre-packaged snacks and breakfast will be provided. Each group must provide their own tent and sleeping gear. Social distancing and COVID-19 precautions will be in place for the duration of the event.
The cost is $10 per group of four and $2 for each additional person. Every group must have at least one person age 18 or older in attendance for the duration of the event. Registration ends July 22.
