The City of West Carrollton is currently hiring for a number of positions in the Service Department, Parks Department and Planning Department.
In the Parks Department “our most urgent need is to fill lifeguard positions. We are excited about opening the pool this year for its full season. Of course, any applicable state or county guidelines regarding COVID-19 will be in place but, we anticipate a good season for us all,” said Christian Mattingly, parks and recreation director.
Available positions for Wilson Park Pool include lifeguards, admissions and concession workers. The pool will be open Saturday, May 29 through Monday, September 6.
The pay range for Lifeguard positions is between $10.50 and $11.92 per hour.
The pay range for Admissions/Concessions workers, the range is between $9.34 and $10.63.
The parks department is also seeking seasonal park maintenance employees to work May through September. Responsibilities include mowing along with grounds and playground maintenance.
The pay range for the Seasonal Park Maintenance positions is between $9.34 and $10.40.
Mattingly also stated that “in order to keep all of the city’s parks and fields in good condition we rely heavily on seasonal employees to help our year-round staff of six.”
The Service Department is currently hiring for several positions in their Street and Refuse Division: full-time Maintenance Worker and Maintenance Worker I as well as seasonal workers. These positions’ responsibilities focus on roadway activities and refuse collection along with a wide range of general maintenance and repair activities. Candidates may operate a refuse truck, pick-up truck, dump truck, bobcat, or other vehicles as needed.
The pay range for the Maintenance Worker I is between $18.25 and $24.47 per hour.
The pay range for the Maintenance Worker is between $17.38 and $23.30 per hour.
The pay range for Seasonal Street & Refuse workers is between $9.34 and $10.40 per hour.
The Planning Department is looking for a part-time Code Enforcement Officer. Managing the City’s residential rental registration and inspection program is this position’s primary responsibility. The pay range for Part-time Code Enforcement Officer is between $18.15 and $24.28 per hour.
