The city of West Carrollton’s Street Division began making repairs to Alex Rd. from Dixie Ave. to Rt. 725 Monday, June 7. Repairs are expected to be completed in July.
As sections of Alex Rd. are undergoing work, one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained. Drivers may encounter some delays while the roadwork is being completed.
The W. Central Ave. reconstruction project begins again Monday, June 14. A city contractor will be paving a half-mile stretch of W. Central Ave. from Miami Ave. heading west. Traffic will be maintained in both directions during the first week of construction. Beginning June 21 through mid-July, one lane of traffic will remain open however, drivers will likely encounter delays during the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday. The city strives to maintain the safety and efficiency of traffic, as well as the safety of road workers, during construction periods.
This project also includes paving of the streets in the current curb and sidewalk repair areas which include: Catherine Ave., Richie Dr., Risley Dr., Shade Dr., Allen Pl., E. Circle Dr., W. Circle Dr., Kendall Ave., Short St., Squire St., Weir St. and parts of Cedar St., Cottage Ave., and W. Main St.

Please be on the lookout for traffic flaggers, traffic control signs and obey speed limits to keep our workers safe.”
