Pay range $16.68 – $22.67/hr., DOQ + benefits.
The City of West Carrollton, OH (pop. 13,143) is accepting applications for the position of Utility Operator (UO). The UO is responsible for a wide range of general maintenance and repair activities associated with the water and sewer system and treatment plants. May operate a pick-up truck, dump truck, backhoe, vactor/jet rodder or other vehicles in the performance of duties.

Valid driver’s license.
Required/Obtained Qualifications: Applicants must have or obtain the following:
State of Ohio Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brake and Tanker endorsement and State of Ohio EPA Chemical Certification for pH and Chlorine within six months of employment.
Class I Water Supply Operator’s Certificate within two years of employment.
Class I Wastewater Works Operator Certificate within two years of employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Applicants who currently possess a Class I Water Supply Operator’s Certificate and/or a Class I Wastewater Works Operator Certificate will be given preference.
A written test to determine an eligibility list will be given on Thursday evening, March 8, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. Test will be administered at the West Carrollton Civic Center, in the Police Department Training Room, 300 East Central Avenue, West Carrollton. NO ADMITTANCE AFTER 5:00 p.m.
You must obtain a score of 70% or higher to be included in the eligibility list. If you currently possess a Class I Water Supply Operator’s Certificate and/or a Class I Wastewater Works Operator Certificate an additional five (5) points for each current certificate will be added to your final test score. You must bring a photo ID to the test. (Test booklet, answer sheet, and pencils will be provided for you)
