Salary Range: $25.93 – $38.89/HR, DOQ+
The City of West Carrollton, Ohio is seeking candidates for the position of Public Relations Director. This is a part-time position with an average of 28 hours per week, with flexibility in work hours. The position reports directly to the City Manager.
The Public Relations Director coordinates the development of communication efforts by the City, including production of a quarterly newsletter, production of government access television informational videos, managing the City’s social media platforms and the City’s website, in addition to other projects. The director also publicizes City activities and facilitates communication on special projects.
The position requires general knowledge of public relations and/or communications, as well as standard office equipment. Familiarity with WordPress, InDesign or other publishing software is a plus. Starting salary negotiable depending upon qualifications.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or other similar area of study is required. A desire and aptitude for public service a must! Previous public relations experience preferred.
