The city of West Carrollton will host five hot air balloons and local food vendors for an evening Hot Air Balloon Glow set for 5:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at 5655 Marina Drive, along the Great Miami River.
There will also be a bounce house, face painting, games, and glow in the dark prizes for children to enjoy while the balloonists are setting up. The balloonists are expected to begin the glow at approximately 7:30 pm.
A similar Balloon Glow event was held in 2015 and 2016 at the conclusion of the former Buttercream Festival sponsored by the West Carrollton Merchants Association. The Merchants Association has also donated funds to this event.
The food vendors will include Rib-N-It BBQ, Kona Ice, Kumberland Kettle Corn, El Meson and ele’ Cake Co.
Admission to the event is free. Children can purchase a souvenir bracelet for $1 that permits them to participate in all the activities all evening. Free parking will be available at the former Carrollton Plaza Shopping Center parking lot on East Dixie Drive and along Marina Drive.
