The City of West Carrollton is working with the U.S. Census Bureau, the Dayton-Montgomery County Complete Count Committee and the West Carrollton Branch of the Dayton Metro Library to help increase census response rates in the city. Approximately 69% of West Carrollton residents have already filled out their forms, but we know we can do better!

The City of West Carrollton and the West Carrollton Branch Library will host the mobile 2020 Census Van on Thursday, August 20, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot near the library. This is a free event.

The customized van is equipped with Wi-Fi and PC tablets to help residents complete their 2020 Census Self Response Survey. The city hopes to get a more complete and accurate count of all of our residents as every response in the Dayton-Montgomery County area counts and brings thousands of dollars of federal funds over the next ten years. When cities receive these funds, it helps to maintain roads, school programs, housing and improve representation in Congress.

Volunteers will be available to assist persons in accessing the questionnaire online via either provided tablets or on an individual’s cell phone. Filling out your census form is safe, secure, easy to do and should take less than ten minutes. Social distancing protocols will be followed.

We want to encourage anyone who hasn’t yet filled out their 2020 Census questionnaire to stop by. We know some people might not have access to wi-fi or a computer and this provides an opportunity for anyone to complete the questionnaire online with the help of our volunteers.
