The members of the West Carrollton Police Department, as well as others from the law enforcement community, will host a ceremony to commemorate and honor the sacrifice of Officer Frederick J. Beard. He was killed in the line of duty on February 16, 1983 as he was attempting to apprehend two robbery and kidnapping suspects.

The ceremony is open to the public.
