Representatives from Norfolk Southern Railroad recently notified the city of West Carrollton that the Elm Street rail road crossing will be closed for repairs starting on Sunday, April 14.
The repairs will include the removal of existing tracks and rubber pads, and the installation of newer tracks and pads, as well as repaving, according to Rich Norton, West Carrollton’s service director.
The road closure is expected to last about one week. Detour signs will be posted. Traffic will be detoured through Central Avenue to Alex Road and Gibbons Road.
