Starting on Thursday, May 16, a section of East Dixie Drive, between the railroad overpass east of Dryden Road and Springboro Pike/S.R. 741, will be milled and repaved.
The project will require one lane closure at a time, with expected completion by Friday, May 24.
Work will include a 4-inch deep milling and resurfacing of the street, as well as pavement markings, traffic signal loop detection, and miscellaneous pavement repairs on East Dixie Drive.
The city received $190,187 in federal Surface Transportation Program funding administered through the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission. The local matching funds, $94,598, are provided by the Motor Vehicle License Tax Fund. The total project cost is $284,785. Barrett Paving Materials, of West Carrollton, is the contractor for the project.
