DESCRIPTION:The annual curbside fall leaf collection program begins Monday\, Oct. 12th\, and continues through Dec. 4th. No need to call the city if you didn’t get your leaves out in time\, or if a vehicle was in the way\, because crews make continuous loops throughout the city each week. \nBefore you grab your rake and begin building the world’s tallest leaf pile\, here’s what you need to know:\n\nRight-of-way only: Place your leaves on the right-of-way (grass area between the curb and sidewalk) for pickup\, not in the street or blocking drains.\nNo branches: Leaves ONLY – no sticks\, branches\, or other debris.\nClear clogged drains: Help prevent flooding by clearing leaf-covered storm drains or report them to the City at (937) 859-8280.

DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a frightfully fun evening at West Carrollton’s annual Monster Mash on Thursday\, October 22\, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. \nBring the family for a Halloween celebration filled with activities\, entertainment\, and plenty of candy. The evening will feature games\, free popcorn\, pumpkin decorating\, seasonal crafts\, Touch-a-Truck\, themed photo opportunities\, live performances\, a costume contest\, tractor rides\, and more. Pumpkins will be available while supplies last. \nThe West Carrollton Fire Department and West Carrollton Police Department will join the festivities for Touch-a-Truck\, while Dayton Mobile DJ keeps the evening moving with music. \nCommunity organizations and partners will offer even more activities throughout the event. West Carrollton Nazarene Church will host pumpkin decorating\, Family Church will lead a scavenger hunt\, and the Dayton Metro Library will invite participants to make a spooky bookmark. Valor Martial Arts will take the stage for a live performance\, while Sky Zone will bring a prize wheel\, giveaways\, tug-of-war\, and tic-tac-toe. \nKeep an eye out for some special characters and vehicles\, too! Apollo Rebellion will bring Star Wars characters and a themed Jeep\, and Ghostbusters will join the Halloween fun alongside the Slimer Ghostbuster Jeep and Slimer Challenger. Beetlejuice and Jeep will also make a special appearance. \nFood will be available for purchase from El Meson and Fresh Off the Hook. \nMonster Mash is made possible through the combined efforts of the West Carrollton Parks & Recreation Board\, City Beautiful Commission\, community volunteers\, West Carrollton National Honor Society students\, and participating community partners.
