Beginning around noon on Sunday, July 1, 2012, Ohio National Guardsmen will be conducting door-to-door checks in selected areas of Montgomery County.

These National Guard members will be visiting with residents who have experienced power outages and are dealing with other weather-related issues.

These areas include: Clayton, Riverside, Vandalia, Butler Township, West Carrollton, Dayton, Moraine.

Following the severe weather that passed through the area on Friday, June 30, Governor John Kasich declared an emergency for the entire State of Ohio and activated the National Guard.
