Volunteers Needed to Continue Annual Tradition PDF E-mail

For the past 11 years, West Carrollton’s City Beautiful Commission has hosted an annual city-wide clean-up day in mid-May.

The city’s 12th annual Community Pride Day will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, at the Civic Center, 300 E. Central Ave.

In past years, volunteers have included local Boy & Girl Scouts and students from West Carrollton High School. Members of the West Carrollton Historical Society and employees of local businesses such as Veolia Environmental Services have also regularly participated.

Volunteers work together to help spruce up the homes of local residents by pulling weeds, trimming shrubs, planting flowers, or painting for elderly or disabled residents who need extra help with outside chores.
