EXPLORERS WANTED!

West Carrollton Fire Department is now recruiting high school students to serve as firefighter explorers. Firefighter explorers are teens who are aspiring to become firefighters. Whether it is career or volunteer, firefighting can be very rewarding. The explorers will be challenged with a variety of tasks, all of which are related to firefighting. The youth will be taught how to use ground ladders, rescue tools, and other tools of the trade. The explorers will also be introduced to emergency medicine.

The students will also be involved in different community projects. One project will be helping the men and women of WCFD with the Fill the Boot campaign for Muscular Dystrophy. There will be a number of other community activities the young men and women will be involved in.
