ALEX ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT:

The Montgomery County Engineer's Office is scheduled to begin construction to replace the existing South Alex Road Bridge over Owl Creek in late 2007 or early 2008. The City and County are working together to assure the new bridge will meet future flood control requirements. The new bridge will be designed longer than the existing bridge to allow the 150-year flood to pass through. The new bridge will be designed to meet current standards for truck traffic and include an improved sidewalk and railing for pedestrian safety.
