The operations of this division are supervised by the Street and Refuse Superintendent with five (5) full-time employees. The street maintenance functions includes minor maintenance and cleaning of the 60+ miles of City streets and storm sewers. The activities of this function include street repair and cracksealing; street cleaning which includes sweeping, leaf collection, and pickup of dead animals; cleaning of storm sewers and catch basins; snow and ice control; roadside maintenance which includes quardrails and ditches; and the maintenance of traffic control devices including traffic signs, traffic signals, and pavement markings.
